Our engagement sessions are designed to provide beautiful, professional imagery while building the foundation for confident wedding day photography. Each package includes our signature guided documentary approach and post-production.
Our engagement sessions range from $399 to $799 depending on session length and number of locations. The Essential Session ($399) includes 1 hour at one location with 50-75 edited images. Our Signature Session ($599) is the most popular, offering 1.5 hours at 1-2 locations with 100-125 images. The Premium Session ($799) provides 2 hours at multiple locations with 150-175+ images. All packages include professional editing, online gallery, and permit coordination.
Victoria Beach with the iconic Pirate Tower is our most requested location, offering dramatic coastline and unique architecture. Shaw’s Cove provides a more intimate, less crowded alternative with beautiful tide pools. Montage Laguna Beach offers luxury clifftop elegance, while Top of the World delivers sweeping canyon and ocean views. Each location requires different permits and has optimal shooting times, we’ll help you choose based on your style and vision.
Both are stunning but offer different vibes. Victoria Beach features the iconic Pirate Tower and dramatic rock formations, making it Orange County’s most photographed engagement location, expect more crowds, especially at sunset. Shaw’s Cove is quieter and more intimate with beautiful tide pools and rocky outcroppings, perfect for couples wanting privacy. Both require the same $100 Laguna Beach permit. Proposal photography is separate from engagement sessions and requires different planning since timing is critical and the surprise element must be maintained. If you’re planning a surprise proposal and want it photographed, contact us to discuss specialized proposal packages. Engagement sessions are scheduled after you’re already engaged, in a relaxed setting where you both know photos are happening.
Yes, sunset sessions are extremely popular and we recommend them for the beautiful golden hour light. However, sunset timing varies seasonally—summer sunsets occur later (7-8 PM) while winter sunsets happen earlier (5-6 PM). Sunset sessions can be crowded at popular locations, so we often recommend arriving earlier to shoot during golden hour leading up to sunset rather than only shooting at the exact sunset moment.
While not required, we strongly recommend engagement sessions for three key reasons: First, you’ll have beautiful photos for save-the-dates, wedding websites, and reception displays. Second, the session builds your comfort and confidence in front of the camera before the wedding day. Third, if we’re photographing your wedding, it allows us to establish our working relationship and understand how you photograph best. Couples who skip engagement sessions often wish they hadn’t.
Yes, we offer flexible payment options. A 50% deposit secures your session date, with the remaining balance due on or before the session date. For couples booking both engagement and wedding photography packages together, we can create custom payment plans that spread investment over several months.
